Job Description

This professional law firm and fiduciary services provider in Nicosia is looking for a Bookkeeper / Accounting Clerk.

Responsibilities:
General Bookkeeping duties. Responsible for keeping proper books of accounts and financial records (i.e. Banks, purchase and sales invoices, payroll accounting, vat, vendors and creditors, provisions, intercompany transactions, revaluations, close year, etc.).
Completing of VAT returns and VIES
Knowledge and handling of Tax matters
Checking company bank statements
Conducting regular bank reconciliations
Preparation of reports for Management as and when required
Dealing with financial paperwork and filing
Processing payroll
Calculating Salary, Social Insurances, PAYE
Auditors’ assistance in the form of providing explanations and documentation to the auditors
Any other duties allocated by the Head of the Department

Requirements:
Ideally educated to Degree level in Accounting/Finance or related field
A minimum of 3+ years of relevant experience as a Bookkeeper is essential
Strong analytical skills
Excellent communication skills in both Greek & English (Written & Spoken)
Team spirit, good character and willingness to develop
Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
Excellent PC Skills. Computer literate with good knowledge of Microsoft office. Knowledge of Caseware (reporting software), E-soft (accounting and stock control software) and Premier-soft payroll (Payroll software) will be considered as an advantage
Good team player with a strong work ethic
Professionalism

The working hours are Monday to Thursday from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm with an hour lunch break and Friday from 8:30 am to 3:00 pm.

Salary of 1600 - 1800 Euros gross + medical insurance
