The Scrum Master is responsible for providing the environment for continuous improvement. They play a critical role in planning and communication through a standardized agile development process ensuring the team are able to realize their goals while maintaining transparency within the engineering and product teams.

As the Scrum Master you are the process enabler. You are expected to raise issues and drive change to remove impediments and obstacles from your teams. You support the product team in their planning and facilitate creativity. You participate in improving the engineering team practices and tools as needed.

The qualified candidate will be the communication pivot for all team members. They will have the ability to lead and follow the leadership of others, be adaptable to change, and has the capability to collaborate and share information with all levels of the team.

Responsibilities:

Product Vision, Roadmap and Planning

·         Facilitate the collaboration between the product and engineering teams to create and communicate the product vision, roadmap and execution plan.

·         Advise and help produce the roadmap for the quarterly initiatives

·         Support and help the product owner groom the product backlog in collaboration with the technical team lead

·         Schedule internal requirements gathering sessions with various departments.

·         Ensure product requirements are translated to engineering goals

Team Priorities and Execution

·         Organize and schedule the scrum activities including Daily Scrum, Sprint Planning, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective

·         Ensure the team adheres to our scrum methodology

·         Ensure a high standard for sprint health, organization and priority

·         Promote cross team communications and alignment

·         Promote getting the work done without assigning or dictating the work

·         Facilitate discussion, decision-making, and conflict resolution

·         Facilitate impediment resolution

Communication and transparency

·         Provide visibility on team operations

·         Promote neutrality and transparency in project operations

·         Monitor sprint performance and identify areas for improvement

·         Track progress and analyze team performance

·         Provide updates to the engineering and product management teams

·         Assist with external communication to improve transparency

Requirements

·         Degree or certification in a related technical field.

·         2 years of experience in an Agile environment.

·         2 years of experience in Project Management or equivalent.

·         2 years of experience with Software Development life cycle.

·         Strong with numbers and data analysis

·         Strong written and oral communication skills (English a must, French an asset)

·         Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

·         Experience with Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence, HipChat & Stash) is an asset.

·         CSM (Certified Scrum master) or CST (Certified Scrum Trainer) an asset.

·         PMI-ACP certification an asset

Working hours:
35 working hours per week (flexible hours)

Compensation Package: Competitive remuneration package including annual bonus plan and benefits package will be offered to the successful candidates according to qualifications and experience.
