CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an International Group of Companies with diverse business interests, we are seeking to recruit a highly experienced and capable Finance & Administration Officer to join their expanding team based in Nicosia.
Key Duties/Responsibilities:
- Make full bookkeeping for 3 companies.
- Do all calculations and filings regarding VAT, VIES, Tax, Social security and other payments to the state.
- Calculate salaries, holidays and their payments for employees, calculate fee for the consultant.
- Issuing of invoices as needed.
- Check that all planned income from subsidiaries in the form of Dividend and Royalties are being paid as planned.
- Collect and file all primary documents for all income on all bank accounts and all expenses according existing rules and regulations.
- Close the accounts on a monthly basis and make accounting report from the bookkeeping as of the end of each month including reconciliation with statements from the banks.
- Set up payment of all expenses on time according to contracts, Cyprus laws, agreements with suppliers, salaries, Tax, VAT etc. pending approval.
- Processing and monitoring of petty cash payments.
- Liaison with social insurance authorities and tax authorities for payroll related matters.
- Collect and keep on file all necessary documents for each employee.
- Ensure that the companies fulfill all requirements for documentation regarding employees – like hours worked, sickness, etc, etc. that they are filed and signed properly.
- Control that the agreed audit plan is followed by subsidiaries and all deadlines are kept.
- Prepare financial statements for audit with all documentation for the 3 companies.
- Make monthly status report for each of the 3 companies.
- Answer the telephone, welcome visitors.
- In charge of sending and receiving correspondence.
- Organize and implement all practical tasks such as purchase of office material, tea & coffee, cleaning, and all other matters regarding the premises which may turn up.
Key Skills/Experience:
- Ideally educated to degree level in Accounting or related field.
- 5+ years of relevant experience as an Accountant/Bookkeeper is essential.
- Able and willing to undertake Office Administration tasks in parallel with Accounting/Bookkeeping responsibilities.
- Excellent communication skills in English are essential.
- Strong PC skills.
- Excellent team player.
- Attention to detail.
