Limassol
Our client is a global leader in the Cyber Security industry and they are growing and expanding their elite R&D department so they are now looking for an experienced Hardware Design Engineer to add to their team based in Limassol.
The successful candidate will contribute in architecting, designing and deploying the next generation of products hardware and will be responsible for the system design, factory bring up, and validation activities. The position is an integral part of the R&D team, and collaborates with the embedded, and system control engineering teams.
Responsibilities
Architect, design, implement, test, validate and maintain current and future products from component selections, to designs, to manufacturing.
Work with all cross-functional teams to deliver a successful product to market.
Validate the design: complete functional verification, compliance testing and system coexistence testing.
Bring design to production, design and implement the production infrastructure, support the production process with external sub-contractors
Assist in software bring up and make sure the product is built successfully.
Requirements
BS and/or MS in Electrical Engineering or Electrical and Computer Engineering
4+ years work experience in electronics, telecom or embedded systems design and development.
Strong EE fundamentals; including ability to design high speed digital and/or analog systems.
Experience with RF, cellular and wifi systems,
Experience with: processor selection, various communication protocols (I2C, SPI and UART), analog design, power electronics, RF and compliance testing.
Solid board bring-up and debug skills (JTAG, power meter, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzer, Network analyzer, EVM analyzer, Wireshark, etc.)
Demonstrated capability in applying EE best practices to hardware designs
Experience with ECAD software
Requirements considered an advantage:
Experience with power supply design and power electronics
Good knowledge and understanding of the 802.11 protocol
Experience with Bluetooth LE or other wireless network equivalents
Experience with IoT
Knowledge C and embedded software development environments
Knowledge of python scripting
Experience with CAD system and mechanical design principals
Experience with Linux and/or Android Kernel
Experience managing team/project
